The Reid Global Cocktail Competition will be an experience of a lifetime for 12 grand finalists who will travel to the home of The Reid on the South Island of New Zealand to compete for the title of The Reid Vodka Global Cocktail Competition champion.
To enter this exciting competition, bartenders from the USA, the UK and New Zealand are invited to share their signature cocktail made with The Reid Single Malt Vodka, highlighting its unique and beautiful flavour, while sharing their excitement for The Reid Global Cocktail Competition on social media.
How to enter
We want to create as much excitement as possible on social media! Throughout this competition you need to help spread the word by sharing about the competition, the brand and your cocktail on your social media accounts.
How to enter Round One:
— You must enter the competition using this entry form.
— Your cocktail must contain at least 25ml of The Reid Single Malt Vodka.
— You may use any ingredients you’d like, but please keep in mind that should you qualify for the grand final competition in New Zealand you will be responsible for supplying all ingredients to make your recipe (except for shaking ice and The Reid Single Malt Vodka, which will be supplied for you).
Do:
— Share your excitement on social media!
— Please post something about the competition, the brand or a previous cocktail you’ve had that was made with The Reid.
— Ensure you’ve completed and submitted the official competition entry form.
Don't:
— Reveal the name and/or ingredients used in the cocktail you’ve entered into the competition, as we’re using a blind judging process in Round One. It’s fine (and encouraged!) to post about the competition, the brand and other cocktails made with The Reid – just not your competition entry cocktail
— Forget to complete the entry form!
Round One judging will take place from March 29, 2024 — April 19, 2024.
On April 22, 2024 all participants will be notified via email whether they’ve made it through to the next round and what will be required to continue in the competition. Stay tuned!

If you’re selected to proceed to the Round Two, this is when you’ll need to post your cocktail on your social media account!
How to enter Round Two:
— Round Two will be open from April 22, 2024 – May 29, 2024
— Please read this section in full before proceeding to enter via social media.
— You must be selected to participate in this phase of the competition after entering Round One. You will be notified via email if you are invited to take part in Round Two.
— You must enter this phase of the competition via Instagram or Facebook.
— You must have a public account so we can view and engage with your post.
To enter, post a photo or video/Reel and caption to your social media account ensuring you’ve included the below details:
1. The photo/video must show:
— The cocktail itself.
— The Reid Single Malt Vodka bottle.
— Your face (we want to celebrate you!).
2. The caption must include:
— The name of your cocktail.
— Ingredients & measures.
— Your method.
— Our hashtag #TheReidVodka.
If you are entering via Instagram:
You need to follow @thereidvodka and add the account as a collaborator on your post (steps to do this: before sharing your post, click ‘Tag people’ then ‘Invite collaborators’ and search for @thereidvodka).
If you are entering via Facebook:
Follow @thereidvodka and tag this account on your post.
— Once you’ve shared your post you need to encourage your network to engage with your post through comments and likes, and to like and follow The Reid on Instagram and Facebook.
— This phase is assessed purely based on the engagement rate you generate via likes and comments on your post. The judges will prorate scores in this phase based on the number of followers you have to ensure an even playing field regardless of how many followers you have, so we will be looking at your overall engagement rate.
Round Two judging will take place from May 31, 2024 — June 7, 2024.
Judges will combine your score from Round One and Round Two, and the top 12 entrants from each region will be invited to proceed into Round Three — Regional Finals.

Based on your scores in Round One and Round Two, a panel of judges will select 12 semi-finalists from each region who will be invited to compete in their regional final. The regional finals will take place in Edinburgh, London, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Competitors are responsible for their own travel costs and logistics during this round.

Four grand finalists will be selected from each country via their regional finals and invited to represent their nation at the grand final competition in New Zealand on the 18th of October 2024.
